Rhomberg Sersa is known for providing innovative solutions to it's customers worldwide. We are growing our Chesterfield BIM team support our Consultancy and Engineering teams in the UK and global projects.
The purpose of the BIM Coordinator role is to support the BIM Manager with project coordination on all aspects of digital engineering delivery. The role-holder will be expected to undertake 3D authoring, 4D modelling, control/checking of 3rd party work and federation activities. There will also be a remit to pursue development of capabilities for the company within the BIM environment by connecting new technologies to potentially all stages of projects from design through to implementation on site. This is expected to encompass activities including 5D for quantity take off and 6D for safety.

Key accountabilities
- Co-ordination of the 3D collaboration process between all parties involved and being responsible for the digital collaboration platform.
- Produce fully mature 3D models from 2D information or survey or Reality Capture data.
- Federate and audit models followed by performing Clash Detection and Reporting.
- Simulate construction progress scenarios using 4D software.
- Assist with preparation of CAD templates, presentations, internal standards etc.
- Assist in BIM co-ordination meetings, this may include such activities as ‘live’ walkthroughs, clash detection, problem solving, co-ordination or spatial issues.
- Output, e.g.: accurate quantities from 5D quantity take off.
- Produce visualisations for feasibility, planning, briefing, marketing and training purposes.

Required qualifications & experience
- Degree level qualification in Engineering or Technical Design (or similar relevant discipline)
- Experience with one or more (design and or construction) area, e.g.:
- Railways
- Plant, equipment or components
- Tunnels
- Roads
- Bridges
- Experienced in writing and checking BIM guidance documents and templates (BEP, MIDP, etc.)
- Experienced in coordination of multiple parties producing 3D models and 4D Simulations
- Ideal and beneficial to have experience of:
- Bentley Microstation
- Bentley OpenRail
- Bentley iTWIN
- Bentley Synchro
- Bentley Projectwise
- Advantageous to have experience of Autodesk Revit, Civil 3D and Navisworks Manage
