BIM Manager
We are looking for an accomplished BIM Manager to support and grow our team in the UK as well as work on projects both here in the UK and Globally.
The purpose of the role is to manage the provision of digital services for the UK business, setting up processes and procedures, or develop them according to experience and feedback. Support will also be provided to the Chief Engineer and Head of Consultancy & Engineering Services with strategy and development. It is important for the post holder to be aware of the progress and of the cultural differences across the wider Group and to leverage collaborative working, information management exchange and driving improved BIM maturity and adoption.

Key accountabilities
- Write, Deploy and Monitor the use of the standard BIM guidance documents and templates.
- Co-ordinate the 3D collaboration process between all parties involved (and being responsible for the digital collaboration platform).
- Work with the project team to ensure systems (incl. CDE), processes and procedures are established correctly to ensure effective information management (graphical and non-graphical) across the project
- Assist in BIM co-ordination meetings, this may include such activities as ‘live’ walkthroughs, clash detection, problem solving, co-ordination or spatial issues.
- Provide up to-date advice on all new BIM technologies and tools.
- Assist in the development of the Design Management Team’s competencies in the application and use of all approved BIM software.
- Conduct quality assurance audits on third party BIM models and external suppliers. Notify the project teams of any non-compliances.
- Critically analyse digital construction problems and find solutions
- Provide assistance and guidance to the project Document Controllers / Information Managers on the creation and management of project work flows and file storage within the Common Data Environment.
- Attend project sites to review levels of adoption of planned digital solutions supporting teams to achieve desired outcomes where required.
- Promote and support cultural change and upskilling across the wider region and project teams around improved collaborative working, information management exchange and driving improved BIM maturity and adoption across projects
- Produce visualisations for both marketing and training purposes

Qualifications and experience required
- Degree level qualification in Engineering or Technical Design (or similar relevant discipline)
- Experienced with one or more (design and or manufacture/construction) area, e.g.:
- Railways
- Tunnels
- Roads
- Bridges
- Experienced in writing and checking BIM documents and templates (BEP, MIDP, TIDP etc.)
- Experienced in coordination of multiple parties producing 3D models and 4D Simulations
- Ideal and beneficial to have experience of:
- Bentley Microstation
- Bentley OpenRail
- Bentley iTWIN
- Bentley Synchro
- Bentley ProjectWise, or other CDE solutions
- Advantageous to have additional experience of Autodesk Revit, Civil 3D and Navisworks Manage
