As an Engineering Surveyor, you are the driving force behind constant business growth and improvement. You will be responsible for the planning and execution of surveys for the location, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of future infrastructure projects. You will also be working within the Engineering Consultancy team, supporting both Construction and Project Management, and providing Right First-Time survey services.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation of first order survey control to support full project lifecycle
- Topographic, P-Way and Gauging surveys compliant with Network Rail Standards
- Site Setting out and installation of track alignments during construction phase compliant with Network Rail Standards, specifically ballastless track
- Monitoring using manual and automated methods
- Reality capture using laser scanning and UAV based photogrammetry,
- Support and preparation of data for 3D machine control
- Provision of guidance and leadership to site engineering contractors
- Management and Auditing of subcontractors work
- Compiling costs for bids
- Assessing and adhering to all risk assessments and health and safety requirements

Key Qualifications

HNC or higher in one of the following subjects
- Geomatics \ Land Surveying
- Civil Engineering
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in a survey role, preferably with construction experience
- Experience in StarNet or other Least Squares adjustment software
- Experience with Gedo or Amberg Track Measurement Devices desirable
- Able to process own data from field through to final CAD deliverables
- Membership of the CICES, RICS or equivalent desirable
- Full UK Drivers Licence
- Ability to work remotely and internationally when required.
