The role
Rhomberg Sersa Ireland is currently hiring a Stores Supervisor for our depot in Kildare town. This is a key role within the Finance, Maintenance and Operations Departments, working on managing the stores and parts for a fleet of 14 On Track Machines (OTMs), ranging from Tampers, Ballast Cleaners, Regulators and Inspection Cars.

What the role entails
We are looking to hire a Stores Supervisor to join our team at our depot in Kildare. We are seeking an individual who can provide maximum support to our maintenance and reliability activities at optimal cost. The successful hire will ensure all materials and equipment that are being stored within the depot are appropriately inspected and controlled in a safe manner. They will also liaise with our Finance Department regarding invoicing and asset management and reporting.
- Ensure all stores activities and premises are managed safely and effectively.
- Manage the stock in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications, avoid transit and handling damage, minimise stocking effort and minimise retrieval and issue effort.
- Maintain a system for setting, tracking and controlling inventory and stock levels to reliably deliver the user requirements agreed.
- Maintain a system for re-stocking remote and mobile stores in accordance with the user requirements agreed.
- Maintain a process for checking stock conformance, segregating non-conforming stock, providing appropriate traceability, and returning non-conforming stock to supplier.
- Manage a process for issuing stores to service users so that no ‘losses’ are experienced by the service user (waiting time, item non-availability, deterioration, damage).
- Monitor and control inventory levels by establishing appropriate re-order points and administering the re-order process, so that stores users receive a reliable and consistent service.
- Manage a servicing / re-condition and exchange service with appropriate suppliers to the correct specification. Tracking system to be implemented for all Service Exchange Items.
- Liaise with Finance team in relation to stock control, invoicing and purchasing.
- Maintain accurate and up to date inventory records for audit and reconciliation purposes and so that future needs can be reliably estimated.
- Reconcile inventory at all store’s locations.
- Coordinate incoming deliveries.
- Control and administer a segregation system for non-conforming items.
- Undertake stock-takes as appropriate to maintain accurate inventory information.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in hands-on stores supervision.
- Good computer literacy, especially Sage, Excel and Word.
- ERP experience
- Proven experience in supplier management.
- Understanding of inventory economics
- Hold a full, current EU driving licence
- Ability to work to timescales / deadlines
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
Desirable:
- Audit experience.
- Rail experience.
- Qualification in an engineering or supply chain discipline.
- Forklift licence.
Total Compensation: €30k - €35k
